Target Audience
Individuals who have minimal or no prior food safety knowledge and need to handle low risk or wrapped food.
Course Overview
At the end of the course, participants will learn how to:
- Keep themselves clean and hygienic
- Keep their work area clean
- Reduce contamination during food handling process

4 hours (including 30-mins examination)

Course Outline
Introduction to food safety
- Participants should understand the risks associated with handling food and be able to identify common food hazards
- Participants should understand how to keep themselves clean and hygienic and be able to understand the importance of proper food handling process and use of protective clothing and equipment
- Participants should understand the importance of cleaning in retail premises and should be able to understand the importance of the cleaning process to keep food safe for consumption
- Participants should understand how to keep the product safe and be able to understand the importance of proper food handling process to prevent contamination.
