Mr Lim Boon Heng, ChairmanMinister Mr Lim worked with Neptune Orient Lines before entering politics in 1980. He has been a Member of Parliament (MP) since then, and currently serves as MP for Jurong GRC. He is also actively involved in the productivity movement, chairing the National Productivity Board, and subsequently, the Productivity and Standards Board, and subsequently, the Productivity and Standards Board, and SPRING Singapore. Mr Lim first joined the NTUC in 1981, and was eventually elected its Secretary-General in 1993 before stepping down in 2006. Mr Lim graduated from the University of Newscastle-upon-Tyne, UK with a Bachelor of Science (Hons) degree in Naval Architecture. Mr Goh Chee Wee, DirectorChairman Chee Wee is currently the Chairman of NTUC First Campus, Chairman of SLF Properties, Executive Director of NTUC Foodfare, and Director of NTUC Investment and SLF International. He is also a director of several public listed companies. Chee Wee was a Member of Parliament from 1980 to 2001 and was appointed Minister of State for Trade and Industry, Labour and Communications from 1993 to 1997. Mr Ong Ye Kung, DirectorChairman Ye Kung is the Assistant Secretary-General of the NTUC. He oversees the Labour Movement's employment and employability programmes and initiatives. Ye Kung was the Chief Executive of Singapore Workforce Development Agency (WDA) from 2005, where he spearheaded many initiatives to build up the Continuing Education and Training infrastructure for Singapore. He also served as Principal Private Secretary to Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong from 2002 to 2005 and had held several other positions in the Singapore Government, including the Director of Organisation and Systems at Public Service Division and Deputy Chief Negotiator of the US-Singapore Free Trade Agreement. He is currently a Board Director of SMRT Corporation and SPRING Singapore. Ye Kung graduated in 1991 from the University of London, London School of Economics and Political Science (UK) and obtained his Masters in Business Administration from the Institute of Management Development, Lausanne, Switzerland, in 1999. |

Dr Gary Willmott, DirectorExecutive Director Dr Willmott was appointed Deputy Chief Executive of the Singapore Workforce Development Agency (WDA) in 2003. His key role then was to support the design, development and implementation of the national Continuing Education and Training (CET) system – now known as the Singapore Workforce Skills Qualifications System. In 2008, Dr Willmott was appointed as Executive Director of the Institute for Adult Learning. Prior to this appointment, he held senior positions in the vocational education and training sectors in Australia and Singapore, having worked as an academic and senior administrator in the higher education sector in Australia. |

Mr Tan Chai Kun, DirectorGeneral Secretary Chai Kun has been the General Secretary of MIWU since 1993. He currently sits on the board of Family Leisure. Chai Kun is well experienced in the field of industrial relations, and holds a Diploma in Industrial Relations from the Singapore Institute of Labour Studies, as well as a Diploma in Production Management from the Singapore Productivity and Standards Board. In acknowledgement of his commendable public service, he was awarded the PBM in 2004. |
