Introduction to Environmental Cleaning WSQ Framework

 The Environmental Cleaning WSQ focuses on skills development for the Cleaning industry at the national level, and includes skills standards, assessment strategies and training curriculum.

 

Objectives of Environmental Cleaning WSQ

The following are the objectives of the Environmental Cleaning WSQ:

·         To provide the relevant skills and competencies that are recognised by the cleaning industry and employers

·         Chart the training and progression pathways for the cleaning workforce by mapping the skill and competencies against occupational groups at various levels

·         With better skills training and clear progression pathways, the Cleaning WSQ framework shall complement efforts to professionalise the cleaning industry and boost performance and productivity of the cleaning workforce, thereby increasing opportunities for better pay and mobility.

 

Certificate in Environmental Cleaning

The Certificate in Environmental Cleaning is part of series of WSQ qualifications under the Environmental Cleaning WSQ Framework. Learners may opt to complete the learning bundle Certified Cleaning Crew prior to obtaining the Certificate in Environmental Cleaning.

 

 

 

An individual must complete 4 core and 2 elective CUs to be awarded the Certificate in Environmental Cleaning. An individual may opt to complete 2 core and 2 other CUs from the Certificate level to be awarded the Certified Cleaning Crew. Higher Certificate in Environmental Cleaning

An individual must complete 4 core and 3 elective CUs to be awarded the Higher Certificate in Environmental Cleaning. The full list of competency units that can be taken for Higher Certificate in Environmental Cleaning can be found in the Environmental Cleaning WSQ Competency Map.

 

Advanced Certificate in Environmental Cleaning

An individual must complete 6 core and 2 elective CUs to be awarded the Advanced
