Target Audience

Individuals who are interested in learning about the operating system and managing of files using a personal computer.

Course Overview

1. Demonstrate knowledge and competence in using the common functions of a personal computer and its operating system
2. Operate effectively within the desktop environment and work with desktop icons and windows
3. Manage and organize files and directories/folders
4. Understand what a computer virus is and be able to use virus-scanning software
5. Demonstrate the ability to use simple editing tools and print management facilities available within the operating system

Assessment

Participants are required to sit for ICDL exam at the end of the course.
