Target Audience

This seminar is structured to afford participants with a wide array of learning methodologies to assimilate knowledge and experiences from fellow participants through sharing and discussions; as well as experiential and interactive activities during the custom-made supply chain security exercise to draw out the practicalities of real-life situations.

Course Overview

The course aims on risk management and control and assessment tools to secure and protect your businesses from security threats. It also examines effective risk control frameworks through the application of STP, ISO 28000, crisis management and disaster recovery and risk-security measures from physical, conveyance, trading partner to and procedural security.

At the end of the Course, participants will be able to:
- Understand the Concept of Supply Chain Security.
- Understand and Implement the Secure Trade Partnership.
- Employ and apply a supply chain risk assessment methodology equitable to international standard such as
ISO 28001.
- Adopt the relevant industry’s best practices on security measures and enhance security for the end-to-end movement of goods along the Supply Chain; and,
- Institute programmes for resilience in the supply chain security vis-à-vis business recovery and continuity.

2 days: 8.30am to 5.00 pm (14 hours)

The course addresses relevant details of international standards, industry practices and updates on developments in Supply Chain Security. It comprises the following topics:

- Secure Trade Partnership
- International Standards – ISO 28000
- Threats to Supply Chain
- Risk Assessment (with exercise on practical application on self-assessment)
- Practical Exercises on Risk Assessment on Supply Chain Security

Funding Info

The course is an Approved-in-Principle (AIP) course under the SDF EasyNet with a support level of $7.00 per training hour. (Please note that the AIP status is subjected to renewal by the Skills Development Fund.) Sponsoring companies who fulfill the following criteria, are required to pay only the unsupported portion of the course fee to association :

- Participants must be Singaporeans or Permanent Residents or 3-year Work Permit Holders.
- Companies must be registered in Singapore and bear the full training cost.
- Only company cheques are allowed for payment of course fees.

As the association endeavour to qualify the course for renewal of AIP status each year, all sponsoring companies are required to sign a letter of undertaking in which they will undertake to bear the portion supported by the Skills Development Fund to the association should their sponsored staff fail to achieve 75% attendance and/or are absent from the examination.
