NTUC LearningHub Manufacturing Trianing & Assessment (MTA) Centre offers training courses for the manufacturing industry which are accredited by the Singapore Workforce Development Agency (WDA) and developed from the WDA's Singapore Workforce Skills Qualifications (WSQ) framework.

More than 6,600 workers have benefited from these courses since October 2007, enabling them to skill up for increased productivity and cost efficiency.

WSQ Certificate in Generic Manufacturing Skills (CGM):

The WSQ CGM course is suitable for operational-level workers such as technicians and backroom administrative staff in the Manufacturing Industry.

WSQ CGM-Logistics course is suitable for operational-level workers such as stock controller, warehouse operator and backroom administrative staff in the Logistics Industry.

Module 1: WSQ Apply Teamwork in the Workplace
Module 2: WSQ Apply 5S Techniques in Manufacturing
Module 3: WSQ Apply Quality System
Module 4: WSQ Perform Warehouse Operations
Module 5: WSQ Perform Stock Control and Housekeeping Operations

Certified Operations Specialist (COS) :

COS is a certification awarded by WDA to equip workers with the basic training and skills as operations specialist in the manufacturing industry or in performing technical jobs in other industry such as the services industry.

Complete Modules 1 to 4 and become a Certified Operations Specialist (COS).

Module 2: WSQ Apply 5S Techniques in Manufacturing
Module 3: WSQ Apply Quality System
Module 4: WSQ Apply Workplace Safety and Health Policy

Certified Operations Professional (COP) :

COP is a certification awarded by WDA to equip supervisors / managers with the supervisory training and skills as operations professional in the manufacturing industry or in performing technical supervisory jobs in other industry such as the services industry.

Complete Modules 1 to 4 and become a Certified Operations Professional (COP).

Apply Continuous Process Improvement Techniques :

Apply Continuous Process Improvement Techniques is a Statement of Attainment awarded by WDA to equip operational level workers in the manufacturing industry or with skills and knowledge in identifying and carrying out improvement activities in the workplace.

Follow Good Manufacturing Practices is a Statement of Attainment awarded by WDA to equip operational level workers in the manufacturing industry or with skills and knowledge in following standard operating procedures and contamination control procedures, report and record abnormalities when carrying out their tasks in a manufacturing or process environment.
