Target Audience

This WSQ module is suitable for technicians, backroom staff (administrative etc) in the manufacturing industry.

Course Overview

The WSQ course for operational level workers will help workers in the industry understand the organisation’s structure, goal and how to achieve corporate and group objectives as a team. They will obtain the fundamental skills in communications, learn how to assist in team building, develop team culture and improve team performance.

On completion of this module, participants will gain the knowledge and application skills in participating in work teams and be able to apply them in the workplace.

Course Duration

16 hours (2 days) inclusive of assessment hours

Assessment

Practical and oral/written tests (1 hour) are conducted during the training course

Course Outline

• Participate in team establishment
• Participate in developing a team culture
• Communicating with team members
• Assist improvement of team performance

Pre-requisites

• Completed PSLE and are able to speak, read and write in basic English

or
• Participants with the following competency ratings from the Employability Skills System (ESS) are eligible:
  • Listening/Speaking Min. Level 3
  • Reading/Writing Min. Level 3
  • Numeracy Min. Level 3
