Target Audience

This NSRS cleaning training course is suitable for anyone who wants to find a job in the cleaning industry as a professional cleaner. It aims to help workers in the cleaning industry obtain the fundamental skills and knowledge of cleaning different types of vertical surfaces, ceiling and glass surfaces.

Course Overview

This module provides trainee with the knowledge and skills in recognizing and differentiating different types of vertical, ceiling and glass surfaces. Upon completion of this module, trainee will be equipped with the necessary and relevant knowledge and skill sets in selecting the appropriate tools and chemicals to clean different types of surfaces.

Course Duration

24 hours (3 days) exclude assessment hours

Assessment

Practical and oral/written tests (45 minutes) are conducted at the end of the training course

Course Outline

• Recognize different types of vertical surfaces, ceiling surfaces & parts and glass surfaces
• Health and safety procedures
• Selection and packaging of cleaning tools, equipments, chemicals and supplies
• Spot clean soilages from vertical washable surfaces and ceilings
• Remove loose dust from vertical surfaces and ceilings
• Reinstate work area

Pre-requisites

There is no minimum educational requirement.

Candidates should be physically fit and have a 20/30 vision. They should also have a general sense of punctuality; be customer-service orientated and comply with safety procedures.
