Course Overview
We are proud to offer practical, relevant and hands-on training for security practitioners under the Singapore Workforce Skills Qualifications (WSQ) for the Security Industry. This framework is launched by the Singapore Workforce Development Agency (WDA) and contains the competency elements which will set the standards for all unarmed security officers in Singapore.
The private security industry is an industry of paramount importance in ensuring the safety of our nation's infrastructure and economic well-being. The Security WSQ was developed with the aim to enhance the overall standard and professionalism of the private security industry.

Target Audience

Security WSQ – Certified Security Courses
Certificate in Security Operations (CSO)
CSO is a WSQ-certified security course developed to provide trainees with the necessary and relevant knowledge and skill sets required as Security Officers. The programmes are tailored according to the current market realistic requirements.

Trainees are required to attend 2 core modules and 3 electives to obtain a Certificate in Security Operations (CSO) :

Advanced Certificate in Security Supervision (ACSS)
Security WSQ Advanced Certificate in Security Supervision equips security officers with basic and advanced skills to enhance security supervisor's work performance.

- Assess and Address Security Risks
Elective Modules
- Conduct Operations Briefing and Debriefing

Assessment
Assessment will be conducted at the end of each module by POLWEL.
POLWEL Co-Operative is the business arm of Police Welfare Fund. It is an Approved Assessment Organisation under the National Skill Recognition System.
Its core functions are:
- To register and schedule candidates for assessment
- To ensure the quality and consistency of assessment conducted
- To handle appeals from candidates
- To ensure that the system of managing the assessment regime meets the service standards defined by the authorities.
A total of 28 skills standards will be assessed and carried out by POLWEL Approved Assessment Organisation.
