This Riggers course is suitable for all personnel in the following industries —
Building & Construction, Marine, Engineering, Shipping and Logistics.

Course Overview

Under the Factories Act for Operation of Crane Regulations (1998/2000), all rigger men are required to undergo Rigging and Signalling training courses approved by Ministry of Manpower.

This course aims to provide trainees with a complete understanding of the fundamentals in rigging and its importance in the field of material handling.

Trainees will learn about the proper procedures of carrying out the rigging process by acquiring skills and knowledge in the correct assembly of rigging equipments and ensuring all rigging personnel and public safety.

Course Duration

16 hours, include 3 hours of assessment

There will be practical and theory assessment

Course Outline

The course comprises of the following modules:

• Responsibilities of a Rigger
• Safety in Lifting Operation

Pre-requisites

• Above 18 years of age
• Comprehend basic English
• Physically fit
• Candidates must provide a copy of their Signalman certification from any MOM Approved Training Provider

Note: All trainees are required to attend the practical lessons in appropriate footwear.
