WSH Coordinator / Supervisor
This unit is designed for individuals typically at supervisory level with assigned responsibilities to coordinate and monitor the implementation of WSH management systems.
On completion of this course, participant will acquire the WSH knowledge and skills to coordinate the implementation of WSH management systems in small-to-medium-sized organisations, or at the supervisory level within a department in large organisations.

ESS Workplace Safety and Health (Supervisory)
- Interpret workplace safety and health policies, procedures and programmes
- Educate workers on workplace safety and health policies, procedures and programmes
- Implement and control workplace safety and health management programmes
- Implement workplace risk and management programmes
- Maintain workplace risk control measures
Promote WSH Culture Development
- Identify organisational WSH culture
- Minimise WSH violations and errors by individuals
- Support and monitor WSH culture development
ESS Communication and Relationship Management (Supervisory)
- Promote effective communication at the workplace
- Facilitate effective work team
- Develop and implement conflict resolution strategies
Investigate WSH Incidents
- Respond to WSH Incidents
- Identify incident causes and recommend corrective and preventive measures

- Coordinate the implementation of control measures in the manufacturing industries
Recognise WSH Hazards and Control Measures in Construction Industry
- Identify construction-specific WSH needs
- Coordinate construction-specific WSH control
Exemptions:
Participants who have attended any of the following Ministry of Manpower (MOM) courses can be exempted from attending the ESS Workplace Safety and Health (Supervisory) module:
-Building Construction Supervisors Safety Course
-Oil/Petrochemical Industry Safety Course for Supervisors
-Shipyard Supervisors Safety Course
-Construction Safety Course for Project Managers
A copy of the MOM course certificate must be submitted to be eligible for the exemption.
This exemption is only applicable if you pursue the "WSQ Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health" Qualification.
Successfully completed and obtained a WSH Professionals WSQ – Certificate in WSH
OR
3 years of working experience in WSH AND Workplace Literacy and Numeracy Level 5
OR
3 years of working experience in WSH AND GCE ‘N’ Level English Grade 5 & Mathematics Grade 5

Statement of Attainment
Upon successful completion and assessment of each training module, participants will receive a Statement of Attainment (SOA).
Qualification Certificate
Upon successful completion and assessment of all required modules, the participants will also receive the Advanced Certificate in WSH qualification.
SPUR funding is only applicable to all who are Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident. SPUR Funding is valid till 30 November 2010.
Absentee Payroll Funding is also available for this program.
